Director of Alumni and Parent Relations

Chapman University
Orange, CA

Chapman University announces an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and energetic individual to serve as Director of Alumni and Parent Relations. Reporting directly to the Vice President for University Relations, the Director of Alumni and Parent Relations directs the planning, implementation and administration of all resources for alumni and parent programs, activities and communications. Develops and maintains an overall strategic plan facilitating involvement of Chapman University's alumni base. Develops, plans and produces all alumni events. Cultivates and recruits alumni volunteers. Provides guidance and support to the Alumni Board of Directors.

The successful applicant will possess proven management and strategic planning experience; exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills; knowledge in securing major gifts; employee development and performance management skills; and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fundraising, events and marketing experience in a university environment is desirable. Capital campaign experience and knowledge of alternative fundraising methods and techniques is preferred.
