The Center for International Policy, a research and advocacy organization, seeks a highly motivated individual to organize conferences and delegations and coordinate legislative strategy for its Cuba project. The Center believes that the best way to promote a political opening in Cuba and better the lives of the island’s people is to end the U.S. trade embargo and normalize relations.
Candidates should have strong organizational abilities, enjoy multi-tasking, have earned a MA or BA in a related field, be fluent in written and spoken Spanish, and share the Center's commitment to human rights, democracy and demilitarization. Prior legislative or advocacy experience preferred, as well as a strong interest in and knowledge of U.S - Cuban relations.
Salary: $25,000-30,000 depending on experience. The Center for International Policy offers a generous benefits package including employer-paid health insurance, a pension plan and 3 weeks paid vacation the first year of employment.
