The Marion Foundation
Marion, MA
The Marion Foundation is a non-profit organization expanding its senior management staff with the addition of a Communications Director (CD). The Foundation implements four programs that emphasize exploration, learning and actions: conferences and workshops that explore cutting edge topics; grants to visionary projects that create systemic change in the world; the introduction in the USA of biological medicine, a mind/body approach to healing that integrates alternative and allopathic approaches; and publishes books by like-minded/cutting edge thinkers. Please visit our website for more information: www.marionfoundation.org.
The CD will create and implement a strategic communications plan that increases knowledge about our programs and activities to a broad audience including the general public, foundations, individual donors, media and the membership. The ideal candidate will: guide the Foundation in its emerging role in donor education and the Spirit in Philanthropy movement; create learning opportunities for Marion Foundation donors and members; develop and manage the annual fundraising plan for the Foundation; cultivate new individual and foundation supporters; and, network with other organizations with collaboration in mind.
Our new CD will have: excellent presentation and written skills; the ability to lead creative strategic planning; and, experience in development or a related field. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to exploring how nature and spirit can empower the lives of individuals and communities and resonate with the Foundation’s mission and areas of interest. The CD will have a facility with computer applications and be a keen team player.
