Applicants are sought for Chief Operating Officer (COO), a new position at the Nautilus Institute. The COO will: oversee the fiscal integrity of the Institute, including production of the annual budget, fundraising, and accountability for funds spent; identify, hire, and assign personnel in all administrative, information systems, financial, and human resource operations; establish and administer day-to-day Institute-wide personnel, information systems, human resource, and financial management procedures and policies; coordinate strategic planning for the Institute.
The successful candidate will have the following characteristics: At least seven years experience of senior, hands-on management of non-profitorganizations, likely with an advanced degree in non-profit management, business administration or equivalent; strong training and experience in financial planning, budgeting, project implementation, and reporting; strong human resource management and systems-design; strong technical information systems knowledge, skills, and experience.
Substantive knowledge of the content of the Nautilus Institute's programs (see www.nautilus.org) will strengthen a candidate's application.
