Associate Teacher Fellows spend a full academic year at City On A Hill Public Charter School in Boston. Fellows work with a Mentor teacher four days a week, taking on the full complement of a teacher's roles and responsibilities. Their primary job is to raise our students' academic achievement. On Fridays, Fellows participate in a full day seminar, led by a faculty made up of Boston teachers, community members and university personnel. Fellows earn Massachusetts Teacher Certification through the program. The Institute then supports Fellows to find employment in public schools in Boston and supports them for the next two years of their career. The Fellowship comes with a $15,000 honorarium and full health and dental insurance.
