The Council on Foundations has announced it will provide Web-based "simulcasts" of a large portion of its 1999 annual conference in New Orleans, April 19-21.

This is the Council's first-ever "SimulConference" and is designed to let members and other interested people who can't attend the event to participate in the organization's 50th annual meeting.

Online visitors can listen to live audio webcasts of plenary sessions, discussion groups and other events. A "SimulChat" feature will allow visitors to submit e-mail questions and comments to a live roundtable discussion.

The Council also will provide clips from its Film and Video Festival online.

The Council on Foundations is a nonprofit association of more than 1,700 private, corporate and community foundations and corporate giving programs.
