The ACLU of Wisconsin and the ACLU/WI Foundation are looking for an enthusiastic development staff person to help us gather the resources needed to defend civil liberties and civil rights in Wisconsin.
This full time staff position in our Milwaukee office is an excellent opportunity for some one who can convey our passion for civil liberties to prospective members, donors and funders. This position requires some one who will become familiar with the ACLU of Wisconsin's programs. The successful candidate will be part of a team of professional staff and committed lay leaders.
The ACLU/WIF and the ACLU/WI are affiliated with the national American Civil Liberties Union. They promote the civil liberties and civil rights of all Wisconsin residents by means of advocacy, litigation, public education and lobbying. The ACLU/WI has over 4,000 members in Wisconsin. This salaried position involves work on a broad range of development activities.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should be skilled in organization methods, group process, motivational leadership, speaking and writing. The Development Associate works with and motivates volunteers. He/she should have some experience in the field of development and fund raising. Experience using Microsoft Access is important.
- The successful candidate must be willing and able to become a leader in the fight for civil liberties in Wisconsin. A demonstrated commitment to civil liberties and civil rights is essential.
Salary:
This position offers a starting salary in the 30s depending upon experience and qualifications. Excellent fringe benefits.
