Cranbrook Educational Community, an internationally renowned organization dedicated to art, education and culture, is seeking dynamic development professionals for various key positions in our Advancement Department. These professionals will specialize in areas that span the essential elements that make up Cranbrook: the Institute of Science, Art Academy & Art Museum, and Pre-K through 12 boarding school. Cranbrook sits on a 315 acre campus that includes 40 acres of formal gardens and is acknowledged as one of our nation's greatest architectural treasures. Due to retirement, relocation and upcoming major fund-raising initiatives, the following positions are currently open:
Assistant Director of Annual Fund - Cranbrook currently has four opportunities in the Annual Fund area that concentrate specifically in the major divisions of Cranbrook: the Institute of Science, Academy of Art & Museum, and Schools. Each of these positions report to the Director of Annual Giving and work in close collaboration with the various divisional Directors. The Assistant Directors develop, implement and evaluate both short and long-range development programs with focus on annual fund and membership activities within each division. Essential responsibilities also include actively communicating with and cultivating key donors, prospects and constituent groups; development, production and growth in annual fund; planning and implementing individual, corporate and not-for-profit membership programs, including acquisition and retention strategies; coordinating and implementing all processes related to membership renewal and fulfillment.
Bachelor's Degree in related field, 3 years of fund-raising experience that demonstrate a record of successful fund-raising in the annual fund arena, and computer literacy & understanding of computerized development operations required. The ideal candidates for the Art Academy/Museum and Institute of Science positions will possess an enthusiasm, commitment and understanding for art and/or science education and museums. Ideal candidates for the two positions that focus on Cranbrook Schools will possess solid fundraising experience in independent schools.
