American Lands Alliance, a national forest protection group based in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Development Director to run our major donor program and assist with foundation development. American Lands plays a unique role in the conservation movement by representing grassroots organizations nationwide working to protect wildlife and wild places. Founded ten years ago to protect the Ancient Forests of the Pacific Northwest, today our national field and policy staff works on a range of advocacy and legislative issues to protect and restore forest and wildlands.
The right candidate will share our progressive and innovative approach to wildlands protection. This person would be responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing a high donor program including researching and soliciting prospective donors, materials development, and event coordination. In addition, the Development Director will assist the Executive Director with foundation fundraising, including grant writing and research. We are looking for development professional who has risen through the ranks and is ready to take the reigns themselves.
